Becky is a catch-all name for a white woman who doesn’t get it. Is that redundant?
Becky famously appears at the beginning of Sir Mix-a-Lot’s “Baby Got Back” and at the end of Beyoncé’s “Sorry.”

Becky is the epitome of willful cluelessness, striving cheerfulness, conniving ignorance.
As women named Rebecca, we would never go by Becky.

But it’s not about the name.
